Hello and welcome to the official webpage dedicated to the DRONUMENT WORKSHOP hosted by the Multi-robot Systems Group at the Department of Cybernetics (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague).

The Workshop will be held in person on the faculty premises located at Karlovo náměstí, and will also be streamed online. The link for the online stream will be published in the morning. The Workshop can also be attended online via ZOOM. The Workshop will be held in English. The participation to the Workshop is free of charge.

DRONUMENT is a system for the documentation of historical monuments using a team of unmanned aerial vehicles. In cooperation with the Czech National Heritage Institute (NPÚ), we document the interiors of historical monuments. By deploying UAVs, the need for special infrastructure such as scaffolding is eliminated. The UAVs are a safe method for gathering information about the current state of ceiling paintings, frescos, and other areas with difficult accessibility. The UAVs are able to swarm and cooperate during the task. For example, one member acts as the main camera-equipped drone for filming while the other drones provide lighting to the scene.
